✅ No Entrance Exam for DOTT Admission
As per the Council notification, the merit list (वरीयता सूची) for all diploma courses including DOTT is prepared only from 10+2 marks. No written test, no interview, no NEET. A better 12th percentage = a better rank = a better chance of your preferred college in the first round.

📅 What to expect for 2026-27
The application window normally opens between mid-July and mid-August, so the 2026-27 notice is already later than usual and may come any time. Keep your 10th/12th marksheets, category certificate, photo and signature scans ready. This page will be updated the day the Council publishes the 2026-27 advertisement.
How to Apply for DOTT Admission 2026-27 (Step by Step)
The DOTT application is accepted only online on the Council's counselling portal. There is no separate form for DOTT — one application covers all diploma courses, and you choose DOTT in the option form.
1Open the portal — rsahcouncil.org → "Online Counselling 2026-27" (or admissions.rsahcouncil.org directly) → Apply Online.
2Register with your name as on the 10th marksheet, active mobile number, e-mail, date of birth and category. All OTPs and allotment alerts come on this number.
3Fill marks carefully — 12th board, roll number, year, subject-wise marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths and English, total and percentage. Your DOTT merit rank is generated from these entries.
4Upload documents — photo, signature, 10th and 12th marksheets, category / EWS / domicile certificate and any special-category certificate in the size and format the portal asks for.
5Pay the application fee online — Rs. 1,500 (UR / EWS / OBC / MBC) or Rs. 1,000 (SC / ST), non-refundable. Enter your own bank account details correctly — refunds of the Rs. 10,000 advance go to this account.
6Submit & print the form and payment invoice (the portal has Re-Print options). Then wait for the provisional merit list and check your rank.

💰 Rs. 10,000 Advance Fee — Official Refund Rules
- No college allotted in any round → full Rs. 10,000 refunded to the bank account given in the form.
- College allotted but candidate does not report → Rs. 3,000 deducted (Council fund), Rs. 7,000 refunded.
- Candidate reports, takes admission and later leaves → non-refundable; the college also does not return the current session's fee.
- The Council collects no tuition fee — it is paid to the allotted college, which cannot charge above the Council-fixed amount.
DOTT Counselling Process 2026-27 — How Seats Are Allotted
- Merit list: state-wide list from 10+2 marks; objections by e-mail for a few days; then the final list.
- Option form: log in, pay Rs. 10,000, and fill college + course combinations in order of preference. You may select up to 4 courses — for example DOTT, DMLT, DRT and ECG Technology — and any number of college combinations. Fill many combinations to maximise your chance.
- 1st allotment: merit-wise and category-wise. Download the allotment letter and report to the college within the reporting window with original documents and the balance first-year fee.
- Upward movement: admitted candidates can opt Yes; if a higher-preference seat falls vacant it is allotted and the earlier seat is cancelled automatically. No upward movement after the 3rd online round.
- 2nd & 3rd rounds: for candidates not yet allotted or who did not fill the option form earlier (they pay Rs. 10,000 then).
- Mop-up, offline counselling & CLC: remaining vacant seats are filled by public notice; in 2025-26 this continued till the end of March 2026.
⚠ Before You Submit the Option Form
Check the college list, DOTT seat matrix and your preference order carefully — the option form cannot be edited after submission. If the recognition of your allotted college is later withdrawn, the Council shifts you to another college as per merit. No college can add DOTT seats once counselling starts.

Only an institution recognised / affiliated by the Council for the current session can run DOTT. The Council has issued public notices against unrecognised and non-affiliated institutions and has barred colleges from student allotment in the past. Take admission only through the Council portal and only in a college on the official list.

5 Mistakes DOTT Aspirants Must Avoid
1Ignoring the English subject. Pass in English is compulsory with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths.
2Filling only 1–2 colleges. Each institution has limited DOTT seats; a short list often ends in no allotment — fill many combinations.
3Not reporting after allotment. The seat lapses and Rs. 3,000 is forfeited.
4Direct admission in a non-affiliated institute. Only a Council-allotted seat is valid for Council exams and OT Technician registration.
5Missing the notification. Dates are extended by short notices only on the Council portal — check it weekly.
