RRB Mumbai also published a cut off of 42.85714 for the R-LD (PwBD) category under Central Railway. For other RRBs, check the CEN 04/2024 result & cut off PDF on the official website of your RRB.

What the Official Cut Off Tells You

  • The highest official UR cut off was 84.01 in RRB Mumbai (Central Railway) — the toughest zone for this post.
  • The UR–OBC gap was small everywhere: 84.01 vs 82.31 (CR), 81.29 vs 79.93 (NWR), 78.23 vs 74.49 (WR).
  • Radiographer cut off stayed much higher than Lab Assistant Grade II in the same CEN, so for RRB CEN 05/2026 aim for a normalised score of 85+ in the UR category.

RRB Radiographer Exam Pattern (Official – CEN 04/2024)

How to Prepare for RRB Radiographer / X-Ray Technician 2026

  1. Finish the 70-mark professional part first — positioning, physics and equipment alone gave 37 of 70 questions in this paper.
  2. Learn positioning with the central ray — most questions ask about patient position, baseline and where the central ray enters.
  3. Keep a formula & value sheet — HVL, leakage 100 mR/hr, 2.5 mm Al filtration, AERB room sizes, fetal dose 0.5 mSv/month, pitch formula.
  4. Do not skip darkroom — 7 easy marks came from processing, hangers, hopper and floor requirements.
  5. Add CT, MRI and USG — 13 marks came from modern imaging, which most old books skip.
  6. Practise with negative marking — solve full-length mocks in 90 minutes and target 80+ attempts with 90% accuracy.
