What is AIIMS CRE-5 2026?
The Common Recruitment Examination (CRE-5) is a single-window recruitment by AIIMS New Delhi to fill Group-B and Group-C non-faculty posts across many participating AIIMS institutes and other Central Government bodies (ICMR, CNCI Kolkata, RML Hospital, Kalawati Saran, CAPFIMS, RHTC Najafgarh, Vardhman Mahavir, etc.). One application and one exam can make you eligible for jobs in several institutes — you only set your preference order later.
Who Can Apply?
Students with a Diploma in Radiography (for Dark Room Assistant) or a B.Sc. (Hons) in Radiography / B.Sc. Radiography / Radio-Diagnosis (for Radiographic Technician, Technician Radiology, Sr. Radiographer). For Radiotherapy posts, a Radiotherapy Technology qualification is required.
Eligibility — Post, Qualification, Experience & Age (AIIMS-wise)
The essential qualification, required experience and age limit for each post are given below, exactly as per the official notification:
| Post (Pay Level) | Age Limit | Experience | Essential Qualification | AIIMS / Institute |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Radiographic Technician Grade-I / Technician (Radiology) Level 6 |
21–35 yrs (Bhopal, Rewari, CAPFIMS, New Delhi: 18–30) | Not needed with B.Sc (Hons); 2 years needed with Diploma | B.Sc. (Hons) (3-year course) in Radiography from a recognised University/Institute; OR Diploma in Radiography + 2 years experience. | AIIMS Rishikesh, Guwahati, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Patna, Mangalagiri, Raebareli, New Delhi, Rewari, Deoghar; CAPFIMS |

Note: Most AIIMS keep the SAME qualification for the Radiographic Technician / Technician (Radiology) posts — B.Sc. (Hons) in Radiography (3-year course) with about 2 years experience. The main differences are: Dark Room Assistant needs only a Diploma in Radiography (Level 4), while Radiotherapy posts (Group 24) specifically require Radiotherapy qualification + AERB-approved experience.
