GATE 2027 Notification: Overview
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 notification and information brochure have been released by IIT Madras on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. GATE is a computer-based test that checks your understanding of undergraduate subjects in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts and humanities.
Many B.Pharm students think GATE is only for engineers. That is not true — B.Pharm is listed in the official eligibility table, and pharmacy students can take papers such as Life Sciences (XL), Biotechnology (BT) or Chemistry (CY) for M.Tech / M.S. / Ph.D. admission and PSU jobs.
