AIIMS CRE OT Technician Exam Pattern (Official)
As per Section IX (Pattern / Scheme / Syllabus of Examination) of the CRE-5 advertisement:

- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Marking: each question carries 4 marks; ¼ mark (1 mark) is deducted for every wrong answer.
- 5 sections of 18 minutes each, 20 questions per section. Each section opens one by one – once the time of a section is over you cannot go back to it.
- Medium: English only (because the posts need technical / bachelor-level qualification).
- Qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, 30% for SC/ST; 30% for PwBD (any category).
- Tie-breaking: higher marks in the domain part → fewer wrong answers → older date of birth → alphabetical order of name.
AIIMS CRE OT Technician & OT Assistant Syllabus
The official advertisement says the domain syllabus (80 MCQs) will be in accordance with the level of educational qualification and experience required for the post, from the subject “OT Technicians”. AIIMS does not publish a separate topic-wise list, so the domain topics below are based on the B.Sc OT / Anaesthesia Technology level required in the advertisement.

Is Experience Required for AIIMS CRE OT Technician / OT Assistant?
- No experience needed for most OT Assistant, Technologist (OT) and Technician (OT) – Pay Level 5 posts at AIIMS New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Bathinda, Kalyani, Mangalagiri, Raebareli, Rajkot, Rishikesh, Madurai, Bilaspur, Bhopal and CAPFIMS – a B.Sc in OT / Anaesthesia Technology is enough.
- Technical Assistant / Technician (Level 6): 5 years experience after B.Sc, or 8 years after 10+2 Science + Diploma in OT techniques.
- Technical Officer / Technical Supervisor (Level 7): 10 years experience after B.Sc, or 13 years after 10+2 + Diploma.
- Diploma / 12th pass candidates can apply only for a few posts (RHTC Najafgarh, Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital, AIIMS Deoghar / Gorakhpur 10+2 route) and these need experience.
- As per the advertisement, experience is counted only after obtaining the essential qualification, and qualification / experience must be complete on or before the last date of online registration.
AIIMS CRE OT Technician Age Limit & Age Relaxation
The upper age limit depends on the post (see table above). Age is counted on the closing date of online registration. Official age relaxation beyond the upper age limit:

AIIMS CRE OT Technician Cut Off (Last Year – CRE-5)
CRE-5 CBT was held from 25 to 27 July 2026 and the Group 11 result (Result Notification No. 245-11/2026, dated 12.08.2026) was published on aiimsexams.ac.in. A total of 4,285 candidates were provisionally qualified for choice filling and seat allocation. The lowest marks among the qualified candidates in each category were:

- These marks are the minimum qualifying marks (40% UR/EWS, 35% OBC, 30% SC/ST) for being called for choice filling – they are not the final selection cut off. Final posts are allotted by merit through online seat allocation.
